• Phase 3 is well underway (and nearing completion) and progress can be seen on the vast hall roof on the outside. Internally, it is still a hive of activity amongst the scaffolding props as work continues with boarding and plastering the ceiling and installing the new sensors, lights and fire alarm.
• The playground in Year 1 has been limited to make way for the transition of the scaffolding from the KS2 quad over into this space ready to erect for phase 4 and 5 once the flat roofs of the corridors have been completed. 
• The prep work at the front of the school is very clearly obvious with scaffolding going up around the Key Stage 1 corridor on Nottingham Road with space made for skips to be added at the end of the outdoor space near the driveway. 
• Work on a new toilet space is into an implementation phase now as a design has been approved in order for the Year 1 group to be moved into the hall once Phase 3 has been handed back to school. 
• Plans are being facilitated around fire safety, logistics and movement around school for Year 2 and 3 once the Year 1 corridor (including the IT suite) has been closed to school staff and pupils. 
• We understand that access to school remains difficult due to the number of contractors and staff having to find alternative parking as the car park is currently limited. 
• We are working on an 'end of the half term' moving date for our Year 1's - this is a significant move which will require support and patience from the team and it will be all hands on deck  - it is exciting planning a new indoor and outdoor playing and learning environment being tailored to our cohort that we have welcomed into school this September! Watch this space 

• Phase 2 is being handed back to school in the week beginning 4th May. We will be moving the the two Year 5 classes out of the hall and back into their classrooms at the end of the Atkin Lane Gate corridor. 
• The Year 4 classes who are currently in the classroom next to the offices and in the computing suite, these will be moving back into their classrooms at the end of the Atkin Lane Gate corridor. 
• Our beautiful new roof and stunning skylights are the rewards we will reap through this turbulant period. 

We understand that this move may be disruptive to many classes and we are trying our hardest to minimise this disruption. All hands are on deck to ensure that normal lessons can be resumed. 

• We are now well into the stage of preparing for Phase 3, the scaffolding erection in the hall to create an additional floor in order for work to begin on the hall roof. 
• Year 1 have had their playground reduced in order to facilitate the scaffolding for the work on the hall and work in being undertaken to create a toilet block for when we begin work on Phase 4, which will be on the Year 1 corridor. 

Through all of this, we understand that there is significant disruption to the school site in terms of parking and traffic flow, we are working very closely with contractors to try to minimise the disruption to the school community at key times and we thank you for your patience in this. 

• Phase 1 has been handed back over to school. Our corridors are now connected again and we have three classrooms back - fresh paint, new ceilings and lights. Our carpets are being replaced in the summer holidays. 
• Phase 2 has begun today - the Atkin Lane corridor has been sealed off to contractors and work has begun on the new roof and internal works this morning.

• New gate installed on Atkin Lane to allow for a smoother flow of site users on and off during busy periods. 
• Parking and unsafe traffic complaints responded to and communicated to parents and site users.

• Letter being sent to immediate local residents about the building project

• Arrangements for collection for Year 4 updated - collect from the fence (at the skips) in the playground.
• Year 6 classes in the hall - reviewed and amendments made to support further.

• Scaffolding well underway for first two phases.

• Wall put in to form two classrooms on Key Stage 1 corridor
• Tunnels completed for access along the footpath along school building on Atkin Lane - panels added and lights in and working, access onto school site through Atkin Lane Gate, out of the side door at Atkin Lane gate for Year 4 and into the Key Stage 2 corridor for Year 5.

• Due to isses with access and space - welfare and compound areas will now take up a considerable amount of the car park and driveway and this will be fenced off. Playground space is now only reduced by the scaffolding which will come out from the building about 1.8m and more where skips are located. 
• As the car park capacity will be reduced significantly, there will be further restrictions to the use of the driveway during busy times. This will affect staff parking and TreeHouse pick up - all information regarding this is TBC.
• Further security measures have been put in place for corridors in school which have been discussed at length with Fire Safety officers from NCC - to ensure the safety of our younger children in main school and for continued use of the toilets for children across school while work is ongoing.

• Project has been confirmed as approved and is starting as school breaks up and it is now estimated to take approx 75 weeks.
• A site manager has been allocated to be on site every day for the duration of the build.
• The first phase of roof works will be along Key Stage 2 - Yr 6 corridor. The scaffolding will be covering the whole of this side of the school - both corridors and Key Stage 2 quad will not be in use for pupils, staff or parents/carers. 
• Year 6 are going to be housed in the Hall for the whole year. This will be divided up into 2 classrooms with partitions. 
• PE will take place mainly outdoors weather permitting. Assemblies will take place in classes but accessed through TEAMs in other classes. Performances will take place off site with location TBC. 
• Toilets on the KS2 corridors will still be accessible throughout this phase and cordons in place to separate the areas of work from the in lesson corridors.
• Atkin Lane entrance will still be used for coming on and off the site as usual except the width will be reduced significantly. 
• Welfare and compund areas will take up the top of the main playground and this will be fenced off. Playground space will be reduced and timetables adjusted accordingly.
• The driveway gate will be in more use throughout the project for contractor traffic. 
• During this phase TreeHouse parents can still pick up from the car park - this will change as the project moves round.
