Christmas at HOPS

Here is a little glimpse into Christmas at High Oakham Primary School

as we add an image a day throughout December.

Would you like to join with our staff as we make a real difference this Christmas?

We know that our school community is generous and staff have specifically chosen to help others in our wider community of Mansfield this Christmas.

The Stanhope Center is a voluntary organisation that runs an emergency foodbank for anyone in Mansfield who is in need. They also provide packed lunches and hot drinks to rough sleepers in the area.

If you would like to contribute to this worthwhile venture, please donate tinned goods such as tins of meat, stews, tuna, carrots, potatoes and other vegetables. They are especially in need of gloves that can be given out to those who need them this winter. Also, with Christmas approaching, they would like to add some bars of chocolate, small selection boxes or boxes of biscuits as a Christmas treat to their regular food parcels.

You can drop any donations off in a box outside reception every day this week. The organiser, Lou Cross, is anxious for you to know that every item you donate WILL make a real difference to local people this Christmas.
