Please find below, documents you will need to read in preparation for becoming part of our High Oakham community.

The time has come to welcome you to
High Oakham Primary School!
Thank you for accepting your place at our Nursery at High Oakham Primary School. We are so excited that you are joining our school community and we are hopeful that after the years of disruption, our transition arrangements can go ahead as planned, but please remember, we need to keep safety at the top of our priority list.
Please find below all the documents which you will need to prepare for a place in Nursery F1.
Important dates for starting Nursery Sept - 2023
Please note, these are provisional arrangements and are subject to change (dependent on Gov guidance and advice relating to the COVID-19 situation)

2023 TBC | Open afternoon 4-5pm |
Monday 3rd July 2023 | New F1 Starter Information meeting - 5pm-6pm - parents only. This will take place in the school hall. Please come to main Reception where we will sign you in and take your paperwork off you. This is where you will need to see your child's 'birth certificate' and your child's red book. |
Tuesday 4th July 2023
| New F1 Starter visits 9-11 - this is your opportunity to come and have a stay and play session with your child. You will be allocated a time slot when your place is confirmed. |
Tuesday 5th September 2023 | Home visits (video calls if needed due to COVID present) with your new staff team for those children who HAVE NOT had a home visit already when they were starting High Oakham Nursery. You will be sent your time slot through in July. |
Wednesday 6th September 2023 | Visits to Nursery for new children will take place at either 9-11pm or 1-3pm. Children who have already attended Nursery through the Spring and/or Summer term come for their usual session from this day.
Please support your child into their visit from the playground outside the EY's building. Staff will support you if you need this, please mention any concerns around this transition during your paperwork meeting and/or home visit. |
Thursday 7th September 2023 | Normal sessions start doors open from 8.30 - register is at 8.35 and collection time is 11.30 for the morning children and 12.30 for the after lunch children. All day children are collected at 3.30pm with doors opening from 3.25pm |
