Please find below, documents you will need to read in preparation for becoming part of our High Oakham community.

Thank you for accepting your place at our Nursery at High Oakham Primary School. We are so excited that you are joining our school community and we are hopeful that after the years of disruption, our transition arrangements can go ahead as planned, but please remember, we need to keep safety at the top of our priority list.
Please find below all the documents which you will need to prepare for a place in Nursery F1.

PLEASE NOTE - OUR ADDITIONAL HOURLY RATE IS BEING INCREASED FROM £5 TO £5.50 AN HOUR FROM SEPTEMBER 2025

| Week beginning 28th April 2025 | You will receive a letter welcoming you to High Oakham Primary School Nursery and asking you to come and pick up a welcome pack. We will also be sending you a link to complete a Microsoft forms all about your child and asking you to let us know which setting your child is currently attending if any. All paperwork back and forms completed by 13th May please |
| Week beginning 5th May 2025 | All children will be allocated a home visit. We will release the home visit dates for you this week to choose a morning or an afternoon visit. |
Thursday 19th & Friday 20th June 2025 | Home visits 19th and 20th June 2025 |
| Monday 25th June 2025 | New F1 Starter Information meeting - 5pm-6pm - parents only. This will take place in the school hall. Please come to main Reception where we will sign you in and take your remaining paperwork off you. This is where you will need to see your child's 'birth certificate' and your child's red book. |
Wednesday 2nd July 2025
| New F1 Starter visits 9.30-10.30am - this is your opportunity to come and have a stay and play session for an hour with your child. |
| Wednesday 3rd or Thursday 4th September 2025 | All F1 Starter children will attend for a 45 minute small group stay and play session to support transition into school - this will be a great opportunity for exploring all areas of the provision with staff, forming relationships and becoming familiar with routines (where to hang your coat etc.) |
| Friday 5th September 2025 | Transition morning visit to school 9-11am - this will include having a school dinner free of charge which we are encouraging all children to access, however, if you feel that your child will NOT eat the school dinner, then please send them with a packed lunch which does not contain nuts.
You will be able to support your child into their visit from the playground outside the EY's building. |
| Monday 8th September 2025 | Normal sessions start doors open from 8.30am and collection time is 11.30am for the morning children and 12.30pm for the after lunch children. All day children are collected at 3.30pm with doors opening from 3.25pm |
