You are visiting this page as your child has now secured a place in our Nursery F1 class for next intake.
Please find below, documents you will need to read in preparation for becoming part of our High Oakham community.
Updated 17th February 2026 - unfortunately, we are currently full in our Nursery and so we will not have an intake at Easter. Our next intake will be in September 2026 and we will be contacting everyone on our provisional waiting list at the beginning of May 26 - any queries, please get in touch.

Thank you for accepting your place at our Nursery at High Oakham Primary School. We are so excited that you are joining our school community and we are hopeful that after the years of disruption, our transition arrangements can go ahead as planned, but please remember, we need to keep safety at the top of our priority list.
Please find below all the documents which you will need to prepare for a place in Nursery F1.

| Week beginning xxx | You will receive a letter welcoming you to High Oakham Primary School Nursery and asking you to come and pick up a welcome pack. We will also be sending you a link to complete a Microsoft forms all about your child and asking you to let us know which setting your child is currently attending if any. All paperwork back and forms completed by xxx please |
| xxx | New F1 Starter Information meeting - 5pm-6pm - parents only. This will take place in the Early Years unit at the top of the driveway. Please come to main Reception where we will sign you in and take your remaining paperwork off you. This is where you will need to see your child's 'birth certificate' and your child's red book. |

| xxx | All F1 Starter children will attend for a 45 minute small group stay and play session to support transition into school - this will be a great opportunity for exploring all areas of the provision with staff, forming relationships and becoming familiar with routines (where to hang your coat etc.) |
xxx | 1hour visit - as allocated on your Welcome letter sent in the week |
| xxx | Transition visit 9-11am You will be able to support your child into their visit from the playground outside the EY's building. |
| xxx | Normal sessions start doors open from 8.30am and collection time is 11.30am for the morning children and 12.30pm for the after lunch children. All day children are collected at 3.30pm with doors opening from 3.25pm |
