High Oakham Primary School is an established, vibrant, friendly and caring school, serving a popular residential area to the south of Mansfield. The latest Ofsted inspection of March 2017 stated that we are a good school.

 

We are looking for a creative, proactive, enthusiastic and highly motivated main scale teacher who is passionate about, and experienced in Early Years education to join our team to teach in a Reception class. We are committed to early year’s provision that uses the environment as a ‘third teacher’ ensuring that children learn through play with or without adult support.

MIDDAY SUPERVISORS

We need three midday supervisors to support and work with our wonderfully behaved children at lunchtime.

The head teacher and governors of High Oakham Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, kind and respectful Midday Supervisor to join our team during lunchtimes, 6.5 hours a week. A Living Wage Allowance is payable on all hours worked to bring the pay rate for this post up to a minimum of £9.50 per hour. The time will depend on which year group you are allocated to. The successful candidate will work alongside our team of friendly and supportive Midday Supervisors  with our children from Foundation 1, through to Year 6. As the role is part time during term time, it is ideal for those seeking work opportunities during school hours. The successful candidate will start as soon as possible in the Autumn term following the recruitment process. 

 

Responsibilities include interacting with and caring for the health, safety and welfare of our children in the dinner hall and on the playground. The successful applicant will also have drive and motivation to inspire others and demonstrate an ability to work flexibly, engage children in stimulating play and promote a caring and calm environment.

Volunteering at High Oakham Primary School

 

We are always looking for volunteers to come and help out at school. If you think that you have something to offer our school, do not hesitate to contact the school office via this website or by emailing: office.school@highoakham.notts.sch.uk

We would love some help with gardening, making/organising resources, playing alongside the children, reading with the children, sewing, artwork, sports clubs and other activities with the children. 

 

You will be given some paperwork to complete and then invited in for an informal discussion with the Headteacher about what you can offer us. Once agreed, the relevant safeguarding checks will be completed and a meeting arranged to complete a health and safety and safeguarding induction with an introduction to our school and it's policies and procedures and then begin volunteering with us.
