There are lots of exciting activities taking place in school this week both in learning time and at lunch or break times. Check out Class Dojo for more information.
We are reminding children to share their worries by displaying our 'Share your worries' posters around school - we will listen, we will help, we will take action - our pledge to you.

Sad news
Sat 16 Nov 2019Morning everyone,
It is with great sadness that I have to let you know that the beautiful Mrs Booth passed away yesterday afternoon, 15th November. She was where she wanted to be, at home surrounded by her family.
I am sure you will join with me in sending our love to her family and friends.
‘We are never ready to say goodbye forever even though we know it is a part of life. This day our hearts are heavy for losing someone so special, but as we mourn your death, we also celebrate your life. Rest in peace Mrs Booth’
Please speak to your children about this sad news and let them know that we are all here for them to talk this through together.
Feel free to get in touch by email if you feel you need to:

#AntiBullyingWeek
Sun 10 Nov 2019We are celebrating #AntiBullyingWeek next week and the theme is:
Small change.
Big difference.
Whether it is verbal, physical, online or in-person, bullying has a significant impact on a child’s life well in to adulthood. By making small, simple changes, we can break this cycle and create a safe environment for everyone. Because together, we can challenge bullying. Change starts with a conversation. It starts with checking in. It starts with work together.
Wear #OddSocks on Tuesday 12th November to show your commitment to working together!
Change starts here.
Change starts now.
Change starts with us.At High Oakham Primary School, our 'learning and life' values promote a collective responsibility to recognise, prevent and tackle bullying.
'Resourceful, brave, reflective, cooperative, resilient and respectful'
We are kicking off #AntiBullyingWeek by introducing our school pledge to listen, to help and to take action. We reassure our children to be brave and report any concerns that they may have - be brave like Moana, the Octonauts, Brave or Batman!
Change starts with a conversation ...
